A calendar for schools and student clubs

The exam date is in one class chat, the trip permission slip somewhere else, and the club meeting on a poster. Rubu gathers the school’s schedule into categories in one calendar, so teachers manage their classes and club leaders their clubs.

How schools use Rubu

Exam and assignment schedule

Create a category per subject or class. During exam week you can spot clashes on the calendar, so teachers do not unknowingly book the same day.

Example: Every Tuesday, 3rd period, 9-A maths exam preparation class.

Parent meetings and school trips

Share the parent meeting, trip date and sign-up deadline with details in the event description. When something changes, people using the apps get a notification.

Example: End-of-term parent meeting: Friday 5:30 pm, each teacher in their own classroom.

Student clubs

Drama, robotics, chess: each club works in its own category. Give the club leader edit rights only there, so other clubs’ plans do not get mixed up.

Example: Chess club every Thursday 3:30 pm, second-floor library.

On the phone, in parents’ pockets

Offer the school calendar through a subscription link they can add to Google, Apple or Outlook calendars (Pro). Events stay up to date there.

Example: Parents subscribe once and see a new trip in their own calendar when it is added.

Frequently asked questions

Do parents and students have to install the app?

No. The calendar opens on the web. On Pro there is also a public calendar page and a Google/Apple/Outlook subscription link; notifications work through the iPhone and Android apps.

Should each class have its own calendar?

Usually not: one school calendar with a category per class is enough. If needed, one account can join several calendars.

Does it store children’s personal data?

The calendar is designed for event information; we suggest not writing personal data such as student lists or grades into events. See the privacy policy for details.

Can we add an online link for remote lessons or meetings?

Yes. On Pro you can add a Google Meet or Zoom meeting to an event; participants land in a waiting room and the person who added it admits them. The link is visible only to signed-in calendar members.

Start on the Free plan and move to Pro when you need it.
