A shared calendar for associations and NGOs
Meeting notices get buried in chat groups, nobody is sure who may change what, and members cannot see the schedule. Rubu puts your whole programme in one calendar, and the board, committees and members each see their share.
How associations use Rubu
Regular board meetings
Instead of retyping dates every month, define the meeting once as a rule. If one date moves, you edit only that day and the series stays intact.
Example: Board meeting on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at 7 pm.
General assembly and election calendar
Colour the key dates, such as the call notice, the notice period and the meeting day, with their own category. Members see at a glance what happens when.
Example: Annual general assembly on the last Saturday of March, with venue and agenda in the event description.
Committees and volunteer work
Give each committee its own category and grant edit rights only in that category. The youth committee lead cannot accidentally change board meetings.
Example: Friday 6 pm volunteer meet-up, owned by the culture committee.
Events open to members and the public
Share talks, fairs and open days on the public calendar page, so you do not need a separate message for members and visitors. For remote meetings you can attach an online meeting link.
Example: Weekend fair is public; the board’s online meeting is visible only to admins.
Suggested categories for associations
Colours let members instantly tell what they are looking at. Start with these and adapt them to your organisation.

Frequently asked questions
Can several people in our association edit the calendar?
Yes. Adding team members comes with the Pro plan; the Free plan has a single user. On Pro you set per category whether each member can view or edit.
Do members need a Rubu account?
People who only need to see the schedule can use the public calendar page (Pro). Anyone who needs edit rights or notifications signs in as an invited member.
Who can read the meeting notes?
Event notes are end-to-end encrypted. Unless you share them, nobody, including Rubu and calendar admins, can read them. You can share with calendar members or export as PDF. This is a Pro feature.
Can we share our calendar from our own website?
Yes. On Pro, add the link to your public calendar page to your website, social media profiles or WhatsApp group; visitors see the programme without signing in.
Can we start on Free and move to Pro later?
Yes. Start free; Pro is ₺249 per month or ₺2,499 per year, with a 7-day free trial on the web.
